Clinical Supervision of Learners
The TELL Centre introduced a series of Clinical Supervision of Learners workshops to support staff involved in supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate learners in the workplace.
This includes a suite of three, 1-day workshops that cover foundation, intermediate and advanced issues related to clinical supervision of learners in the workplace setting.
The focus of these workshops is to increase the skill set of clinical supervisors so they become more confident, effective and efficient within their role.
The Clinical Supervision of Learners Package includes:
Foundations: focuses on establishing a good partnership and shares useful resources to support the process.
Promoting Quality and Safety: includes use of power in the relationship, interprofessional collaboration, mandatory reporting and the importance of effective communication.
Leading and Influencing: explores the importance of developing a suitable learning environment by delving into workplace culture and climate, and addresses conflict in the relationship.
